Snake River Wilderness
200 miles from the nearest road and only just below the Arctic Circle, the Yukon's Peel Watershed is a land of massive peaks, free flowing rivers and animals roaming as they have for thousands of years. Photographer Peter Bowers and five friends spent two weeks paddling the Snake River through this remote wilderness, bringing back stunning images of one of the world's most vast untouched areas.
Bower's trip helped support the protection of Canada's wilderness. To learn more, and to donate, visit TheBigWild.org.
