WOVEN WOOL
There are many reasons why we use wool throughout our collection. Besides its exceptional quality, wool is a renewable resource that is shorn from sheep every year. Compared to oil-based synthetic fibers which contribute to worldwide pollution, wool biodegrades over time. While we strive to ensure that all of our woven wool comes from farms certified to maintain the highest standards for animal health and welfare, as well as land and water use, the Wool Patrol Hoody is one of the few products for which we are unable to trace the wool beyond the vendor level at this time.

RECYCLED POLYESTER
The recycled polyester used in the Wool Patrol Hoody is crafted from post-consumer PET bottles. Using recycled polyester fibers in our collection helps to lessen our dependence on petroleum products, keep waste out of the landfills, lessen the environmental footprint caused from conventional polyester processing, and create long-lasting garments that would normally end up in the landfill.

ORGANIC COTTON
The Wool Patrol Hoody's cotton content is from certified 100% organically grown cotton, which does not use pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers or defoliants at any point in its growth and development. To understand the impact this makes on a micro and macro scale, we need to take a closer at the numbers: Currently, 9.4 billion pounds of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are used annually in the US alone. This breaks down to using roughly 1/3 pound of synthetic fertilizers to grow one pound of raw cotton in the US, and it takes just under one pound of raw cotton to make one t-shirt. Research shows that the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers pollute rivers, streams, and air, as well as cause irreparable damage to our most vital resources—water and soil. In a nutshell, we hope the use of organic cotton across all of our garments will reduce, in a small way, the detrimental impact pesticides and fertilizers have on our environment.

SYNTHETIC WAX FINISH
We work directly with the British Millerain Company, the oldest manufacturer of waxed cotton, to develop a water-based polyurethane coating that, when applied to organic cotton, not only creates a water-resistant barrier, but allows the cotton fibers to maintain their soft, breathable and pliant hand just like traditional waxed cotton. However, unlike oil-based traditional wax which requires constant upkeep and ŭrewaxing," our synthetic waxed finish is a non-petroleum, aqueous-based product that is a washable, less polluting alternative than its traditional counterpart.

If one of our products fails to satisfy you at the time you receive it, or does not perform to expectations during its long lifetime, simply return it to us. We'll replace it or extend a refund.

Because we build sustainability into everything we make, our products are designed to have a long lifespan, longer sometimes than their usefulness to a single person. For this reason, we guarantee them to be free of manufacturer defects whether you're the first, second or simply most recent owner. Hand it down, pass it on, give it away: we'll warranty a product until normal wear and tear run their course. Please understand that we can not guarantee products employed for purposes other than their intended use, and that even under the best circumstances, we do expect they'll wear out before you do.

Whenever you send an item to us for an exchange or credit, it's best to use a shipping method that will provide you with a tracking number and delivery confirmation. Please keep in mind Nau will not be responsible for goods that are lost or stolen in transit. Be sure to include your daytime phone, email address, mailing address and a short explanation of the problem we need to address. If we do need to send you a replacement, we'll pay the shipping.
