My first pair I had to return because of a bad discolouration problem after the first wash. The second pair I even sized down to get a slimmer fit and even though it fit perfectly in the waist and thighs I felt that it could be slimmer below the knees. The extra fabric could potentially be annoying when riding a bycicle(I use an ankle strap, but I don't assume everyone does). When the pants become wet from hiking(unmelted snow, ect.) the loose fabric becomes irritating. I've washed my most recent pair twice and the colour is kind of dead. They look like a much more used pair of pants. Speaking of which I find myself using a pair of pants that happen to cost much less much more than these. It's the style that wins out. These pants are breathable and very comfortable so I'll still use them as my hiking pant. Don't think these pants are worth the price that so many of Nau's products are.

These pants are fantastic. I've bought several different iterations of this design dating back to the beginning of Nau (with the cool rectangular zipper pulls). They're extremely comfortable and allow a full range of unhindered movement. The fabric is cool enough for the summer and warm enough for a brisk spring/fall or mild winter day. The extra pockets are cleverly hidden, making them virtually invisible, and they are indispensable for "everyday carry" items. I wear a pair of these pants about 4 days a week. While I wish they came in as many colors as they used to, I'm sure I'll continue to buy them for as long as they're around.
