I bought this jacket because I love the way it looks and I wanted something that looked better than my North Face rain jackets.
I want to love this jacket so much more than I actually do.
I still think it looks great and has unique details. I find that it has nice pockets in good places. I also like the fit, but wish the sleeves were shorter. I think Nau stuff runs large, but the fit is in-line with their measurements. However, I have a much bigger gripe with this jacket:
The hood is huge. This is definitely a helmet compatible hood. That's all well and good if you're interested in that, but unfortunately I'm not. I could live with it if it had good adjustments to make it smaller, but it doesn't. It needs one in the back to pull things together, because the 2 side pulls just make it look totally ridiculous on me. I'm sorry, but this hood is a total deal-breaker and I wish I had known that it was a larger helmet-compatible design.
I would still recommend this because I think it's rather nice, but it just isn't for me (as much as I want it to be).

I like this jacket a lot - it looks great, and it's very well made. I don't even mind the sleeve length (which is a little long) because I picked this up as a more stylish option for my bike commute. And so far the water resistance seems fine for sprinkly rain.
Only quibbles: The fabric on the button placket "poofs" out a bit; it's hard to get it to lie flat. And it's a little roomier in the waist than I would like.

I bought this jacket for its light weight, packability, and purported resistance to wind and water. I'm nearly pleased with it altogether, but I experienced the sleeves letting in a lot of water when my hands were up or holding a phone or umbrella. I had a friend reduce the size of the opening by adding two more snaps... Nau should redesign with velcro for better adjustment.

I love this jacket. I fell in love with it long ago. Unfortunately, those amazing taped seams that keep the water out of pockets don't hold up to the durability of putting a lot in your jacket. Trust me, you'll never look better than in this- lots of people will want your jacket. Just be careful if you're someone who likes to walk around with his hands in his pockets like me.

The design of this coat is beautiful. I have the blue coat and I get a lot of compliments. Its fit is on the smaller, tailored side. It has a more stylish fit, rather than a technical, wide range of motion fit. I never overheat in this jacket. It is ideal for the relatively mild temperatures of the Pacific Northwest. If you spend a lot of time in the snow, I would recommend a warmer jacket. Although rain resistant, if you get caught in heavy rain for a significant amount of time the water will start to soak through. Do not get this jacket if you want a rain jacket, you will be disappointed.

Nau's gear that fits "regular" is just too big for an athletic/lean medium.

This jacket is one to certainly have in your collection. It is lightweight, fashionable, yet durable and just enough warmth for a brisk day or evening. I love the various pockets, both inside and out.

Just had this jacket on for the first real rain of the season. I got SOAKED! It is not waterproof at all. Love the looks hate the horrible performance. I have too say I am very disappointed.
