Ashoka is the world's pioneer in bringing together the best ideas for social change and the people, resources and funding that can make it happen. Together we are finding brand new ways of solving the world's most pressing social problems.

Problem:
Creativity is boundless. So is the passionate impulse to help others. But making the connections that bring us together to solve the world's problems requires the collaboration of entrepreneurs, investors, governments, and people around the world who believe deeply in social change.

Program:
Ashoka does things differently. We see solutions everywhere, every day. Over the past three decades we have searched the world to identify the best solutions and provide them financial support, resources and networks to achieve their goals of changing the world.  We find the best opportunities for change and collaborate to help them achieve the biggest impact possible. Our community of action includes entrepreneurs, mentors, funders, volunteers - all people who believe that everyone is a change maker - and no one is alone. 

Progress:
Over the past 28 years Ashoka has identified and supported over 2,000 of the world's most innovative social ideas and leaders. More than that we've brought them into a network that has helped them grow and innovate together. Its through Ashoka that entrepreneurs such as Hilmi Quraishi's fun cell phone games that subtly educate Indian and African youth about HIV have found an audience of millions plus sponsors to help expand; and how Juan Carlos Antezana and Nena Baltazar turned a love of animals and their desire to rescue Bolivian street kids into youth-run animal preserves that protect wildlife rescued from captivity. We find inspired ideas like these come from all corners of the Earth and help them reach their potential. We are solving problems, every day, one project, one idea at a time.
