Mercy Corps works with local communities to design projects that deliver: emergency relief services for people afflicted by conflict or disaster; sustainable economic solutions integrating job opportunities, agriculture, health, education and the environment; projects that promote citizen participation, accountability, and peaceful change.

Progress:
Since 1979, Mercy Corps has partnered with thousands of communities in 82 nations and in 2006 their programs reached nearly 10 million people in more than 40 countries.
