    This jacket is excellent

It's been a long time since I could afford a real down jacket, and I searched for a while to find one that seemed both warm and stylish. Warm ones usually look like sleeping bags with arms, and stylish jackets can't really keep the cold out. I think this jacket is the perfect mix (so far), and I'm excited to see how it holds up in a NYC winter.

    Great all-purpose Winter Gear

I needed a new ski jacket and also something warm, lightweight, and dressed-up enough for walking to work. This was the most expensive jacket I've ever bought, but it has been extremely warm and I have gotten compliments on the color and style(I have the Caviar, which is greenish-gray tinted if you ask me). The pockets are great for storing gloves, scarves, and other gear, and I haven't tested it in powder yet, but it seems to cinch up really well at the waist. I hope that I can say it's extremely durable too, a few years down the road. It fit like expected.

    Beating the winter that wasn't

Nau that it's been a few weeks, here are my initial impressions:

I found this company while trying to take some classes at Northern Arizona University (joking). SEO failures aside I'm really glad I found Nau!

I had dismissed down insulation in my jacket hunt as I'm not a fan of the ethical implications, but Nau it turns out Nau does recycled down, perfect! Still couldn't quite justify the price but when it came up on sale I thought, "Nau's my chance!" and snatched one up.

I'm 6'1" 165lbs with a longer torso, narrow shoulders and no chest. The medium fit even better than expected. Perfect sleeve length, and happy with the torso length too, which I was worried about. Nau, I do have somewhat errr, "Nordic" hips so the straight cut of the jacket is a bit tight at the bottom, but not bad, and I can unzip a bit from the bottom up.

Jacket is not at all bulky, which is great. Very, very warm! Been great outside but I do have to take it off once on board train etc. Armpit vents would be nice. Not a big issue but the hand pockets aren't great for keeping hands warm.

Nau, I haven't owned anything down insulated before but I have had a few feathers escape, not sure if that's typical.

Overall a very warm, well made, and stylish winter jacket. Highly recommended, unless you live near me, then back off my style!
