Dear Nau, thanks for a wonderful warm coat!

Dear Reader, the cons listed below are more like tips for improvement directed at Nau rather than reasons not to buy this coat. I would buy another one without hesitation if mine were lost or ruined.

    Pros:
It is a VERY SHARP looking coat save for the first con listed below.
Keeps outs all wind - even big gusts
Keeps you dry in at least light rain - seems it will be fine in heavier rain too
Adjustable cuffs that accommodate gloves, mittens, watches, etc.
Perfect exterior pocket placement - hand pockets cradle yours at the right height (not too high or low)
Bottom-up supplemental zipper - makes driving or subway sitting possible with no discomfort

    Cons:
The button flap doesn't lay flat - must be a design flaw or maybe mine is a factory 2nd
Interior pocket has a small pocket within a large one - difficult to maneuver through especially with gloves on
Snug fit around the waist restricts movement slightly
The snap buttons on the back vent make noise when walking
Hood could be a little longer at the front to keep more rain and snow out

    Warm winter coat

Well made lightweight coat. I like the length of this coat and it keeps me very warm all the way down to the knees.. the cut is trim and classy.. my best coat so far!

    Warm, stylish, functional

Perfect coat for cold weather. Can be dressed up or down for work or casual wear. Have worn it in cold NYC winter weather with the temperature in the mid-teens F with mid-teens MPH wind, and the coat was warm; I only had a long-sleeve Icebreaker merino wool t-shirt underneath as a base layer. Interior and exterior pockets are spacious and plentiful. Very well designed. Great alternative to the over-priced Canada Goose. Highly recommended.

    Warm but flawed

This is my third Canadian winter with this jacket. It's been plenty warm, but I have some issues with the construction. The zipper flap is poorly designed. It does not lay flat, even when I'm not wearing the jacket. It's almost as if the seam is off by an inch, so when I do button it up it makes it look like it's tighter than it is and is pulling quite a bit. I'm quite a slim guy and I also find the fit to be a bit too tight around the hips / thighs even though the top half is pretty roomy. Today I noticed a small hole forming at the edge of the cuff. It hasn't seen any rough action. I just wear it for a short walk to the office on really cold days. I really like the general style of this jacket but it's been a little disappointing.

Americans know Canadian winter better? Lol

Although it was a huge hassle getting this jacket in Montreal, QC, Canada (had to ship it to my cousins in DC, they had to ship it to my NY warehouse next to the Canadian border and I had to drive 1hr to go and 1hr back, because Nau doesn't ship to "freight forwarders" even if my warehouse doesn't forward anything), this jacket is absolutely the best looking of all the jackets in similar price points

Mind you we have those Canada goose jackets here but I find that it weighs a ton and frankly everyone looks the same, so I'm very pleased that an American company has a jacket good enough for our winters here (today was - 22°F!!)

Not sure about the technicality of that review about the down not being available next to the zippers....i can say this with our weather, that I feel absolutely no air or cold coming in, and I always look for jackets warm enough to wear a simple t-shirt underneath and this jacket definitely fits the bill!

Mine fits like a glove, make sure you take a tape measure and go around your chest before ordering, my theory is that the person who mentioned the zipper thing has a bit of space to let cold in, so not the proper size, again my theory have no clue if that's the case.

There are other stylish and warmer jackets (850-900 fill 90/10) but price point is not the same at all, so this price point is the best jacket I've owned! If you want warmer and still stylish, you may want to look at Aether apparel

    Thanks Nau!
