    Favorite Winter Jacket

I have a blue plaid and a black/gray plaid that you can't get anymore. I'm 6-2/185lbs. Size L fits like it is tailored for me; it has the same cut/fit as most trim-fit dress shirt--maybe 17.5/35 size. It is really light, but remarkably warm--I wear it as a primary jacket most of the winter in Minnesota. The collar, buttons and cut do elevate this well above a typical Patagonia or North Face light down coat; it easily works for more upscale occasions. The trim cut, light weight and warmth also make it a great mid layer under a shell.

My wife was borrowing mine so much that I got her the green one in medium. All three jackets have held up really well. There is not much I would change. It is warm enough for a 20F day, but breathes well enough to wear inside a store or museum unbuttoned for extended periods. Nice!
