2 Year Review! Great coat w/ few caveats

I’ve owned this jacket for two years and I wear it daily in an urban setting.
    - Great slim, clean lines perfect for business or date night. Lots of compliments.
    - Warm for most winter weather (when the temps dip to -15C or less i switch to my heavy parka)
    - and rain resistant.

    Cons for me:
    - The front zipper flap doesn’t lay flat giving a messy appearance. Perhaps it needs to be wider?
    - The buttons on the back clap and make noise as you walk which is distracting
    - water resistant but not waterproof. I was caught in weather that changed from snow to rain and after 45 minutes of light/med rain the jacket’s waterproofness has failed.
    - after two years of med/heavy use I’m seeing holes along some seams, primarily along the underside of the arms.

It was a gift well received

I bought this coat for my 32 yr old son. 6’4” and the large worked great especially if you have a sweater or suit coat underneath.
Very professional looking with all of the attributes of a great outdoor winter coat. Will be a new friend for NYC winters. PS - he picked it out.

Dear Nau, thanks for a wonderful warm coat!

Dear Reader, the cons listed below are more like tips for improvement directed at Nau rather than reasons not to buy this coat. I would buy another one without hesitation if mine were lost or ruined.

It is a VERY SHARP looking coat save for the first con listed below.
Keeps outs all wind - even big gusts
Keeps you dry in at least light rain - seems it will be fine in heavier rain too
Adjustable cuffs that accommodate gloves, mittens, watches, etc.
Perfect exterior pocket placement - hand pockets cradle yours at the right height (not too high or low)
Bottom-up supplemental zipper - makes driving or subway sitting possible with no discomfort

The button flap doesn't lay flat - must be a design flaw or maybe mine is a factory 2nd
Interior pocket has a small pocket within a large one - difficult to maneuver through especially with gloves on
Snug fit around the waist restricts movement slightly
The snap buttons on the back vent make noise when walking
Hood could be a little longer at the front to keep more rain and snow out
