    Sleeves way too long.

I really wanted to like this jacket. I really wished I could have kept it. But the sleeves were just way too long. I'm 5'6" and 140 lb and even the sleeves on the extra small were slightly too long. I returned it. Too bad. Otherwise seemed like a great jacket.

    Stylish and lightweight

I got this jacket from another site, and the colors were off, so i returned it. I didnt have a chance to evaluate its performance, but I am a slim 6'2"/195 with broad shoulders and long arms, and the XL fit great. This is really an urban jacket for spring and summer, not a heavyweight rain coat for backcountry use. There is a bit of contrast stitching, but the stitches are small so it's really subtle. There are no visible logos and overall the fit is more tailored thanks to the straight hem and snap tabs instead of velcro. I did notice in the brief time i had it that it was kind of squishy/squeaky. I really wanted a technical-ish jacket which didn't look technical, and this does that, but not enough in my opinion. The Vetiver version just didnt have enough of that Nau mojo and it felt a little flimsy compared to my other shells. I have no way of knowing if it will hold up to years of use like my MH and NF shells, and for someone else, it could be perfect. I will say that it breathes really well--although i only tested it in a brisk winter wind--so you will have to zip it up to the neck if you want wind protection. I wish they had used a slightly thicker fabric, but this is more of a personal quibble than an outright design flaw, depending on intended use.

    Great overall

Quality and style are excellent, just as you'd expect from all NAU jackets. I especially like that the jacket has a subtle athletic cut, which enhances the fit/aesthetics, but you won't be able to tell that from the photos. It is also roomy enough for wearing a medium-weight fleece underneath, so great for winter (not winter yet, so hopefully it doesn't disappoint). Haven't worn it in the rain yet, but I tried spraying it with water and while it does provide some protection, it will eventually soak, so probably ideal for light rain.

Some minor quibbles that I have: I wish the arms were less roomy, and that's a criticism I have for all NAU jackets -- the arms are always wider than necessary and that undermines the overall look of the jacket. Also, the jacket has additional studs for constricting the sleeves and waistline, but the sleeves bunch up in quite an unattractive way when the studs are used and I consider that a flaw in design. Lastly, the color representation of the Vetvier version of the jacket is somewhat off on nau.com and other sites like 6pm.com. I expected a khaki tan-like color, but it is in fact a light greyish green color. Google "vetvier color" for a better idea.

If it helps, I am 6 ft tall, 36" in chest, 37" in waist and size Small fits very well.

Sleeves are too long, but otherwise it's stylish, well assembled and designed.

    Simply the Finest

It has so many features that I wanted in one jacket, that Nau must have read my mind when designing it. The quality of manufacture is tops-2nd to none. The color (Caviar is perfect for me) and the style is beautiful. Nau managed to create a waterproof PFC -Free DWR coat that is not only entirely functional (and healthy-over 50% organic cotton-this I so important), but created it without unnecessary bulk and heaviness. This is a serious jacket with ample pockets for convenience. I have owned a lot of high end outer clothing items and this jacket is better in design, quality and features than any of those. In my opinion, this is a seriously beautiful and thoughtfully designed item I would give 5 out of 5 stars to-the best I have owned.
