    20th century fabric

This pant has much going for it - a refined, effective pattern/fit, a great all-arounder design, great basic colors you'll never tire of. But it lacks one (unforgivable) aspect: insufficient stretch/no spandex! They fit spot-on but have poor range mobility. If you are making a baggy cut, OK don't need. But Nau is streamlined, active, progressive fit. Such fabrics would be fully acceptable in the 20th century but not 21st century as a new requirement has been set in all modern pants (2-3%). Lycra was invented like over 40 years ago guys. Upgrade fabric might have added $5 to retail. I think Nau's design team understands the Portland (and other locale) hipster guys ride bikes and move their legs which requires stretch to avoid binding and restriction. As such, this pant will not cut it for many or most cyclist who actually pedal and don't use full EV mode. Disappointing. Would have bought two colors. Expect more from Nau.

    Nice pants overall

These are a nice light to medium weight twill, typical Nau fit which is to say slim leg, moderate rise, waist true to size.
Fit is good for cycling and the reflective tape on the inside seam at the bottom of the right leg is a nice touch.
Nice pocketing but I could do with a zipper fly instead of the awkward button fly. Yeah it sounds hip but there's a reason zippers took over a hundred years ago!

    Perfect for so many situations

These pants are great! I can wear them to class, around the apartment, on a date, you name it. As someone who regularly struggles with finding clothes that fit correctly, I was pleasantly surprised by the slimmer fit that didn't fall into the "skinny" category of pants (that I personally abhor). All in all, fantastic product! Super comfy too!

    Order a size up

My husband has worn Nau pants for years, a consistent size 34. So it was a no brainer to order this style the same size. WRONG! He could button them but would lose the ability to exhale. Or sit. So, we're returning them and ordering size 36. And the reviewer who said they stretch, well, you have to be able to get them on in order to stretch them.
