    It was close...but returned

After modeling it again and again in front of the mirror, I tried to convince myself to keep this jacket, but unfortunately, it had to go back. First, I tried the light Frost option because I tend to wear a lot of dark colors. The jacket is well constructed and though not weather tested, I'm sure the seams would withstand the wind and rain. The ample number of pockets were handy. However, the placement of two on the chest were awkwardly eye-catching (more noticeable on the light coat). This color also showed wrinkles more easily, and finally, the color just didn't suit my complexion.

Next I ordered the Caviar, and though this time I loved the dark ash color, I couldn't overlook the final fit. The snapped cuffs were helpful, especially since I had to roll up the too long sleeves to fit my arms. But when I tried to cinch the snapped waistline, the drape was bulky and unattractive. The only option is to wear it "straight" and since there are no princess seams, it just wasn't complimentary to my shape.

I intend to keep trying Nau products, though, because I like the quality, the effort toward more environmentally friendly fabrics, and the socially aware business partnerships.

    Great All Around Coat

I was looking for a stylish coat to wear through the winter and rainy season in Virginia. When I received it, I thought I would be returning it as it came in a small flat package. But once out of the bag, it feels and looks substantial. It does not feel like a windbreaker. I like the styling; it is a bit tight in the hips (and I barely have any!) but this gives it a chic look. The sleeves are amply long. I have worn this everyday since it arrived!

    Best Raincoat + Stylish

I've had this Nau raincoat for about 9 years now and its still going strong. Only in a torrential downpour did the seams on my shoulders leak. Going to rewaterproof it. Best coat ever!!

Just What I was Looking For

I was looking for a quality waterproof trench coat that I can wear for years to come that has a bit more style than traditional waterproof coats from typical outdoor brands. The style of this coat caught my eye online, and I had heard about Nau for a while and was interested in spending my money on brands that use organic and recycled materials. So, I decided to give it a try and order it. I chose the Medium size (I'm a size 6) in the Caviar color. The color is great! I wanted something a bit different than black, and this is a dark matte charcoal. I love the many ways you can wear and adjust this coat. There are many snaps to close or open this coat, depending on weather. The hood is removable, and there are plenty of pockets. The coat has great style with a slight feminine touch to it. The price is more than I would typically spend for this type of coat, but it appears to be well made, and my hope is to have it for years to come - so that makes it worth it to me. My boyfriend saw it and looked online for the men's version because he liked it too.

Just what I was looking for

I was looking for a coat to get me through this rainy, 65-degree weather that we keep having, and this one is perfect! The design is spare enough that I can wear the coat with casual outfits, but polished enough that it also works well on business trips. The Frost color is lovely and unique for a trench coat, and it's not showing any stains yet. As with all Nau coats, I ordered one size down.
